A definition update;There is a major difference between an excuse and a reason: A reason is an explanation of what transpired that caused a particular result good or bad, and accepting responsibility for it. An excuse is an attempt to explain away the same particular result in some manner and at the same time deflecting the responsibility elsewhere.
